Do You Really Need Some Quiet Time?

One thing I've always struggled with is the ability to sit still and do nothing. I've always had a preoccupation with keeping busy whether it's writing, talking, or reading a book. I needed to focus my mind on some type of activity. I'm not sure why. Maybe it started in childhood.

However, in the past year, I've learned the power of taking time to be quiet and do nothing. It's important for six reasons. Quiet time helps you to:

1) Focus and clear your mind

2) Think about the mistakes you've made

3) Find solutions to the problems you have

4) Figure out your next move

5) Assess the resources you already have

6) Generate ideas for your next writing project

When you set aside quiet time on a daily basis, there are no limits to what you can do or become. You will learn to make more calculated and effective choices so you can write in order to inspire your writers to a greater degree.

Take time and be quiet!

Yours truly,

The Resource Writer
